Tandoori owes its name to the tandoor clay kiln which is used to cook marinated meats over an extremely hot, intense fire.  Originally from India, this spice blend is made from Sweet Pepper, Cumin, Garlic, Coriander and Ginger.  This very spicy, yet sweet seasoning colours and flavours all meats, fish and vegetables; it is often added to yogurt to make a marinade to coat the food before cooking.
